The Alma Cardinals basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Hitchcock County Falcons to 49 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Loomis for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 19. Alma will meet a Wolves team coming off a 69-40 league win over Elwood (Elwood, NE). The Wolves record now stands at 6-8.

The Falcons (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Paxton (Paxton, NE). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 11-1 record. In their last challenge, Paxton toppled Wallace (Wallace, NE), 51-49, in a non-league challenge.
