In Friday's non-league bout, the host Portsmouth Patriots football squad scored a big 46-0 victory over the Rogers Vikings.

In their next game, the Patriots face the La Salle Academy Rams (Providence, RI) in a Division I bout, on Friday, September 14. Portsmouth will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Rams enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 48-27 non-league loss to North Attleborough (North Attleborough, MA).

The Vikings (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI). The Saints enter the Division II-B bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, St. Raphael Academy was overwhelmed by Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI), 36-8, in a non-league bout.
