Fillmore Central Panthers (Geneva, NE) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Superior Wildcats (Superior, NE), 55-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Fillmore Central upgrades its record to 2-10 on the season. The Panthers host Wood River (Wood River, NE) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 10. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-9.

Next up, the Wildcats encounter the Heartland Huskies (Henderson, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 8. Superior will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 49-27 non-league win over Cross County (Stromsburg, NE).
