Illinois High School Basketball - Glenwood overwhelms Taylorville
January 20, 2010: Chatham, IL 62629 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Glenwood Titans (Chatham, IL) and the visiting Taylorville Tornadoes (Taylorville, IL), saw Glenwood's basketball squad trounce Taylorville by a score of 53-19.
With the victory, Glenwood improves its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Titans host Lincoln (Lincoln, IL) to play the Railsplitters in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 22. The Railsplitters come into the challenge with a record of 17-2. Lincoln won 57-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Taylorville (Taylorville, IL)
Next up, the Tornadoes play the Lanphier Lions (Springfield, IL) in a Central State Eight challenge, on Friday, January 29. Taylorville will attempt to improve on its 0-19 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 71-60 league loss to Southeast (Springfield, IL).
