Match Summary
Cleveland was better than any team that West had faced this year & their speed of play couldn't be matched by West in the 1st two sets. Both teams were coming off of long layoffs due to the hurricane & Cleveland was more ready to play. Still, West had moments of excellence but simply allowed too many long scoring runs by Cleveland. The 3rd set was quite exciting, with West proving that it belonged on the court. West had multiple set points and fought off multiple set & match points as well, only to fall 32-30 in the 3rd. There was some very good play with lots of excellent rallies with some incredible digs on both sides.
No one likes losing to a rival, but playing this kind of team will make West better in the long run. And West will see the Rams again & certainly will hope to play the entire match at a high level.
