The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Wylie Pirates (Wylie, TX) and the host Sachse Mustangs (Sachse, TX), observed Wylie's football squad thwart Sachse by a tally of 31-21.

The Pirates now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to West Mesquite for a non-league contest on Friday, September 3. Wylie will play a Wranglers squad coming off a 32-28 non-league win over Rockwall (Rockwall, TX). The Wranglers record now stands at 1-0.
