In Tuesday's league match, the host Valley Greyhounds basketball team scored a decisive 74-45 triumph over the Midland Trail Patriots.

In their next game, the Greyhounds meet the Buffalo Bison (Buffalo, WV) in a non-league match, on Thursday, February 22. Valley will attempt to move on its 18-2 season record.

With the defeat, Midland Trail moves to 8-13 on the year. The Patriots host Greenbrier West (Charmco, WV) to meet the Cavaliers in a Coalfield A match on Thursday, February 22. The Cavaliers enter the match with a record of 13-6. Greenbrier West won 73-58 in their recent league match against Montcalm (Montcalm, WV)
