Georgia High School Football - Gainesville topples Monroe Area
October 14, 2011: Gainesville, GA 30501 The Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA) football defeated the visiting Monroe Area Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), 41-21 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Red Elephants face the Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA) in a AAA Region 8B bout, on Friday, October 21. Gainesville will attempt to advance on its 6-1 season record. The Warriors enter the bout with a 2-5 record after their 29-14 league win over Johnson (Gainesville, GA).
The Hurricanes (5-2) will now prepare for their bout against West Hall (Oakwood, GA). The Spartans enter the AAA Region 8B bout with a 2-5 record. In their last bout, West Hall lost by Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA), 35-31, in a league bout.
