North Carolina High School Basketball - Western Alamance edges Bassett
December 27, 2017: Elon, NC 27244 The Western Alamance Warriors (Elon, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA), 46-39 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Warriors (3-6) will now prepare for their test against Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 2-7 record. In their last test, Patrick County was tipped by North Stokes (Danbury, NC), 44-43, in a non-league test.
The Bengals now own a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Patrick County for a Piedmont test on Saturday, December 30. Bassett will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 57-43 non-league loss to Western Alamance (Elon, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 2-8.
