Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) and the visiting Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC), saw Independence's basketball squad overcome Butler by a tally of 36-27.

With the victory, Independence improves its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to confront the Eagles in a challenge on Friday, January 22. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. East Mecklenburg lost 51-18 in their recent league challenge against Myers Park (Charlotte, NC)
