California High School Basketball - Coronado holds off Point Loma
January 13, 2017: San Diego, CA 92106 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Coronado Islanders (Coronado, CA) and the host Point Loma Pointers (San Diego, CA), saw Coronado's basketball squad hold off Point Loma by a tally of 49-43.
With the victory, Coronado improves its record to 19-2 on the campaign. The Islanders travel to Christian (El Cajon, CA) to encounter the Patriots in a Central test on Tuesday, January 17. The Patriots go into the test with a record of 12-5. Christian won 73-66 in their recent league test against San Diego (San Diego, CA)
The Pointers now own a 8-5 record. They play next when they host Dos Pueblos for a non-league test on Saturday, January 14. Point Loma will encounter a Chargers squad coming off a 71-45 non-league win over Pacifica (Oxnard, CA). The Chargers record now stands at 13-2.
