February 16, 2011: Northfield, MA 01360 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Northfield Mount Hermon Hoggers (Northfield, MA) and the visiting Vermont Academy Wildcats (Saxtons River, VT), saw Northfield Mount Hermon's basketball squad knock off Vermont Academy by a score of 85-65.
With the victory, Northfield Mount Hermon improves its record to 18-5 on the campaign. The Hoggers host Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME) to battle the Huskies in a NEPSAC Freelance challenge on Friday, February 18. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 9-16. Maine Central Institute lost 52-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Nokomis (Newport, ME)
Next up, the Wildcats battle the Proctor Academy (Andover, NH) in a NEPSAC Freelance challenge, on Friday, February 18. Vermont Academy will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The come into the challenge with a 0-12 record after their 76-37 league loss to Kimball Union Academy (Meriden, NH).
