January 2, 2009: Fort Worth, TX 76109 The Fort Worth Country Day Falcons basketball team scored 64 points and restricted the visiting Kopperl Eagles to 44 in the Falcons non-league victory on Friday.
The Falcons now sport a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Crandall for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 3. Fort Worth Country Day will meet a Pirates team coming off a 64-41 non-league win over Pottsboro (Pottsboro, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 16-3.
The Eagles (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Walnut Springs (Walnut Springs, TX). The Hornets come into the 1A-2 Region III District 20 contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Walnut Springs beat Oglesby (Oglesby, TX), 67-46, in a league contest.
