In Thursday's non-league contest, the Straughn Tigers (Andalusia, AL) softball team overwhelmed the host Central Wildcats (Florence, AL), by a margin of 9-1.

With the triumph, Straughn moves its record to 40-13 on the year. The Tigers travel to Dallas County (Plantersville, AL) to play the Hornets in a non-league contest on Thursday, May 19. The Hornets come into the contest with a record of 11-2.
