Texas High School Soccer - Coronado nudges Permian
January 30, 2018: Lubbock, TX 79410 Coronado Mustangs (Lubbock, TX) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Permian Panthers (Odessa, TX), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Mustangs confront the Lake View Chiefs (San Angelo, TX) in a 5A Region 1 District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Coronado will attempt to better on its 6-9 season record. The Chiefs enter the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to Midland (Midland, TX).
The Panthers now have a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they host Lubbock for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 2. Permian will confront a Westerners team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Pampa (Pampa, TX). The Westerners record now stands at 2-8.
