Alabama High School Basketball - Calera holds off Dadeville
December 3, 2011: Calera, AL 35040 Calera Eagles (Calera, AL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Dadeville Tigers (Dadeville, AL), 76-71 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Calera improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Oak Grove (Bessemer, AL) to battle the Tigers in a 4A Area 8 challenge on Friday, December 9. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Oak Grove won 59-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Oakman (Oakman, AL)
Next up, the Tigers battle the Elmore County Panthers (Eclectic, AL) in a 4A Area 5 challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. Dadeville will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record.
