Connecticut High School Lacrosse - St. Andrew's drops to Williams

April 22, 2013: New London, CT 06320

In Monday's league test, the host Williams Blues lacrosse squad scored a good 15-4 victory over the St. Andrew's Saints.

The Blues now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host St. Thomas More for a SENE test on Wednesday, April 24.

In their next game, the Saints face the Marianapolis Prep Golden Knights (Thompson, CT) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, May 1. St. Andrew's will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.

Game Summary

Williams Boys Lacrosse picked up its second win of the year against St. Andrew's. The Blues scored early and often, leading 4-1 after the first quarter and 11-2 at halftime. The game was a great opportunity for some younger guys to get playing time and experience. For example, Tony Reiser had two goals and an assist. Williams' main scoring threats were Charles Maynard (5G), Xavier Mills (4G, 1A), Jack Fader (3G, 4A), and Andrew Bronk (1G, 2A). Jack Hall also added two assists. Jack O'Connor played great defense, as did Jack Hisle, and Williams played great team lacrosse up and down the field. The Blues play St. Thomas More on Wednesday at home.
