New Jersey High School Basketball - Ridge nips Hillside
February 4, 2017: Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 Ridge Red Devil (Basking Ridge, NJ) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hillside Comets (Hillside, NJ), 61-55 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Ridge upgrades its record to 9-12 on the campaign. The Red Devil travel to Montgomery (Skillman, NJ) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 9. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 9-10. Montgomery lost 43-37 in their recent non-league battle against Hillsborough (Hillsborough, NJ)
The Comets (4-11) will now prepare for their battle against Cranford (Cranford, NJ). The Cougars come into the Union County battle with a 4-12 record. In their last battle, Cranford edged Brearley (Kenilworth, NJ), 54-25, in a non-league battle.
