October 10, 2014: Columbia, LA 71418 In Friday's league game, the Avoyelles Mustangs (Moreauville, LA) football team smashed the host Caldwell Parish Spartans (Columbia, LA), by a score of 80-44.
The Mustangs (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Jena (Jena, LA). The Giants come into the 3A District 3 game with a 4-3 record. In their last game, Jena overwhelmed Vidalia (Vidalia, LA), 42-8, in a league game.
The Spartans now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buckeye for a 3A District 3 game on Friday, October 17. Caldwell Parish will meet a Panthers team coming off a 43-42 league win over Marksville (Marksville, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 5-1.
