Oregon High School Basketball - Mountain View holds off Phoenix

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Mountain View Cougars (Bend, OR) and the visiting Phoenix Pirates (Phoenix, OR), saw Mountain View's basketball squad hold off Phoenix by a score of 67-66.

With the victory, Mountain View improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Redmond (Redmond, OR) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 4. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Redmond lost 49-41 in their recent non-league challenge against North Medford (Medford, OR)

Next up, the Pirates play the Mazama Vikings (Klamath Falls, OR) in a 4A Skyline challenge, on Friday, January 7. Phoenix will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 49-34 non-league win over Lakeview (Lakeview, OR).
