Nebraska High School Basketball - Scotus nips Battle Creek
December 18, 2010: Columbus, NE 68601 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Scotus Shamrocks (Columbus, NE) and the visiting Battle Creek Braves (Battle Creek, NE), saw Scotus's basketball squad hold off Battle Creek by a score of 45-41.
With the victory, Scotus improves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Shamrocks host Wayne (Wayne, NE) to battle the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 21. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Wayne lost 62-52 in their recent non-league challenge against O'Neill (O'Neill, NE)
Next up, the Braves battle the West Point-Beemer Cadets (West Point, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 21. Battle Creek will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Cadets come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 56-37 non-league win over Scribner-Snyder (Scribner, NE).
