The Cardinals now hold a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Malvern Prep for a non-league outing on Saturday, April 27. Calvert Hall will confront a Friars team coming off a 16-3 league win over William Penn Charter (Philadelphia, PA). The Friars record now stands at 17-5.
Next, the Crusaders confront the Maryland Christian Saints (Bel Air, MD) in a non-league test, on Saturday, April 27. Riverdale Baptist will attempt to upgrade on its 22-3 season record. The Saints come into the test with a 2-0 record after their 15-14 league win over Model School for the Deaf (Washington, DC).
Game Summary
In a game between Maryland #1 Riverdale Baptist and Maryland #2 Calvert Hall did not disappoint as the game was close throughout until the botton of the 6th when Calvert Hall scored 2 on a HR. Brody Cook lead the Crusaders with 2 hits followed by hits from Chase Brewis, Andrew Sharpe, Josh Batal, Matt Wildrick, and Troy White. Chase Brewis pitched 5.2 innings of excellent baseball before giving up the final 2 runs of the game.
