November 21, 2008: Manvel, TX 77578 The Manvel Mavericks (Manvel, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting New Caney Eagles (New Caney, TX), 48-31 in Friday's non-league test.
The Mavericks (3-3) will now prepare for their test against MacArthur (Houston, TX). The Generals go into the non-league test with a 0-5 record. In their last test, MacArthur was beaten by Dayton (Dayton, TX), 61-44, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pasadena Memorial for a non-league test on Monday, November 24. New Caney will clash with a Mavericks squad coming off a 59-45 non-league win over Rayburn (Pasadena, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 2-4.
