Florida High School Baseball - Chamberlain loses to King
April 15, 2011: Tampa, FL 33612 In Friday's league game, the visiting King Lions baseball team scored a nice 9-0 victory over the Chamberlain Chiefs.
The Lions (15-7) will now prepare for their game against Riverview (Riverview, FL). The Sharks go into the non-league game with a 14-7 record. In their last game, Riverview ran past East Bay (Gibsonton, FL), 6-2, in a league game.
The Chiefs (3-17) will now prepare for their game against Middleton (Tampa, FL). The Tigers go into the non-league game with a 11-6 record. In their last game, Middleton ran past Strawberry Crest (Dover, FL), 17-3, in a league game.
Game Summary
Devin Smith pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts to and gave Coach Mac his 500th career win. Sam Rowe went 3 for 3 in the outing and scored two runs. With the victory the Lions clinched the 2011 District Championship! Congratulations Lions!!!
