Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Basha Bears (Chandler, AZ) and the host Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ), saw Basha's basketball squad hold off Desert Vista by a tally of 54-47.

With the victory, Basha improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Bears host Red Mountain (Mesa, AZ) to play the Mountain Lions in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 14. The Mountain Lions come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Red Mountain lost 53-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Liberty (Peoria, AZ)

Next up, the Thunder play the Pinnacle Pioneers (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 14. Desert Vista will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 86-72 non-league win over Mesa (Mesa, AZ).
