Game Summary
Despite some long rainy days, your Forman Lions took the field against the league leading Harvey Cavaliers in a rematch of Forman's 13-10 nail-biter loss in the opening round of the HVAL tournament in the 2011 season. Harvey swept the momentum early building a 6-0 lead in the first quarter. Reed Hatcher got us going again early in the second as he rifled a shot past the Harvey goalie to get us on the board. With some confidence, Larson possessing his wins at the face-off dot, and some excellent stops by Connor Clancy during some man-down situations, we held Harvey to 1 goal in the second as we scored 3 to get back in the game. After the half, Forman roared out of the gates, stunning the Cavaliers with a furious 4 goal rally to knot the score even at 7 all. Despite 2 goals at the end of the half, we held strong and made the Harvey goalie work for every save, not giving him easy saves. However, our 13 penalties killed our rally and we gave up too many quality man-up shots to end the game
