In Friday's league match, the visiting East Rutherford Cavaliers basketball team scored a good 75-60 triumph over the Rutherfordton-Spindale Central Hilltoppers.

In their next game, the Cavaliers face the Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) in a 3A/2A South Mountain match, on Tuesday, January 29. East Rutherford will attempt to move on its 13-4 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 5-14 record after their 59-58 league loss to Chase (Forest City, NC).
