The North Schuylkill Spartans (Ashland, PA) basketball crushed the visiting Tamaqua Blue Raiders (Tamaqua, PA), 62-27 in Thursday's league test.

The Spartans (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Loyalsock Township (Williamsport, PA). The Lancers go into the non-league test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Loyalsock Township walloped South Williamsport (South Williamsport, PA), 49-44, in a league test.

The Blue Raiders now own a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Panther Valley for a Schuylkill County 1 match on Monday, January 23. Tamaqua will meet a Panthers team coming off a 44-23 league loss to Blue Mountain (Schuylkill Haven, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 3-11.
