Tennessee High School Football - Independence tipped by Hillsboro

In Friday's non-league game, the Hillsboro Burros (Nashville, TN) football team got by the host Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN), by a score of 20-17.

The Burros (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Glencliff (Nashville, TN). The Colts come into the 5A Region 6 game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Glencliff was tipped by Ezell-Harding Christian (Antioch, TN), 41-6, in a non-league game.

The Eagles now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Franklin for a 6A Region 6 game on Friday, September 14. Independence will meet a Rebels team coming off a 21-7 non-league win over McGavock (Nashville, TN). The Rebels record now stands at 2-2.
