Johnson City Eagles (Johnson City, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Center Point Pirates (Center Point, TX), 73-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Johnson City upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Stockdale (Stockdale, TX) to play the Brahmas in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Brahmas go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Stockdale won 58-47 in their recent non-league bout against Kenedy (Kenedy, TX)

Next up, the Pirates play the Medina Bobcats (Medina, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Center Point will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 64-34 non-league loss to Harper (Harper, TX).
