Medomak Valley Panthers (Waldoboro, ME) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME), 53-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Medomak Valley upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Panthers travel to Waterville (Waterville, ME) to encounter the Panthers in a B East bout on Tuesday, January 11. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Waterville lost 48-33 in their recent league game against Rockland (Rockland, ME)

With the defeat, Maine Central Institute moves to 4-8 on the year. The Huskies host Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME) to face the Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 11.
