October 14, 2016: Philadelphia, PA 19144 In Friday's league match, the visiting Haverford School Fords football squad scored a close 21-20 victory over the William Penn Charter Quakers.
In their next game, the Fords clash with the Malvern Prep Friars (Malvern, PA) in a Inter-Academic match, on Saturday, October 22. Haverford School will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record. The Friars enter the match with a 3-3 record after their 37-34 league loss to Episcopal Academy (Newtown Square, PA).
The Quakers (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Springside Chestnut Hill Academy (Philadelphia, PA). The Blue Devils enter the Inter-Academic match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy was nudged by Germantown Academy (Fort Washington, PA), 16-13, in a league match.
