California High School Baseball - Cypress nips University
March 2, 2013: Cypress, CA 90630 Cypress Centurions (Cypress, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting University Trojans (Irvine, CA), 9-8 in a non-league test.
With the win, Cypress upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Centurions travel to Long Beach Poly (Long Beach, CA) to battle the Jackrabbits in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 5. The Jackrabbits come into the test with a record of 6-0. Long Beach Poly won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Servite (Anaheim, CA)
With the defeat, University falls to 3-1 on the season. The Trojans travel to Corona del Mar (Newport Beach, CA) to battle the Sea Kings in a Pacific Coast test on Friday, March 15. The Sea Kings come into the test with a record of 1-2.
