California High School Softball - Grossmont Otay Ranch
April 21, 2009: El Cajon, CA 92021 Grossmont (El Cajon, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA), 7-4 in a non-league challenge.
The now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they host West Hills for a Grossmont - North challenge on Monday, April 27. Grossmont will battle a Wolf Pack squad coming off a 6-5 league loss to Santana (Santee, CA). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 7-4.
With the loss, Otay Ranch falls to 4-12 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Bonita Vista (Chula Vista, CA) to battle the Barons in a Mesa challenge on Wednesday, April 22. The Barons enter the challenge with a record of 10-3. Bonita Vista won 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, CA)
