Virginia High School Football - Virginia drops to Gate City
October 14, 2011: Gate City, VA 24251 In Friday's league game, the Gate City Blue Devils (Gate City, VA) football team knocked off the visiting Virginia Bearcats (Bristol, VA), by a final score of 21-7.
The Blue Devils (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Union [Appalachia/Powell Valley] (Appalachia, VA). The Bears come into the A Western game with a 3-4 record. In their last game, Union [Appalachia/Powell Valley] was dropped by Central [Kelly/Pound] (Wise, VA), 20-18, in a league game.
The Bearcats now hold a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Lebanon for a A Western game on Friday, October 28.
