In Friday's league outing, the Plano Reapers (Plano, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL), by a margin of 62-40.

The Reapers (7-8) will now prepare for their outing against Manteno (Manteno, IL). The Panthers go into the Interstate Eight outing with a 6-8 record.

The Coalers now own a 1-16 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 17. Coal City will encounter a Comets squad coming off a 51-37 non-league loss to Wilmington (Wilmington, IL). The Comets record now stands at 8-8.
