Texas High School Basketball - Kamehameha ripped by Yates
December 18, 2009: Houston, TX 77004 The Yates Lions basketball team scored 87 points and held the visiting Kamehameha Warriors to 60 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lutheran for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 19. Yates will meet a Lancers team coming off a 91-35 non-league win over 'Iolani (Honolulu, HI). The Lancers record now stands at 5-1.
The Warriors (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Maui (Kahului, HI). The Sabers enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Maui was routed by Redondo (Redondo Beach, CA), 77-36, in a non-league contest.
