Game Summary
Northridge wins their 5th straight league game beating cross town rival Greeley Central by the score of 1 - 0. Northridge improves to 8 - 5 overall and 5 - 3 in league play. It was a well played game as the Grizzlies get their lone run in the top of the 7th as Kayson Werner singled in Kyle Greenwell from third for the game winning hit. Greenwell singled with one out and moved to 2nd on a passed ball. Kyle then moved up to 3rd on a deep fly ball to right which set up the game winning single to left by Kayson Werner with 2 outs. In the bottom of the 7th Central loaded the bases with no outs when Kayson Werner on in relief of younger brother Kaylor struck out the Wildcats 9 hole hitter for the first out. The next hitter hit into a 1, 2, 3 double play to give the Grizzlies the 2 game swept of the Wildcats. Freshman pitcher Kaylor Werner making just his 2nd start got the win on the mound to move his record to 1-0. The Grizzlies had 10 hits and were only able to score 1 run.
