California High School Softball - Calvary Murrieta nudges Woodcrest Christian
April 29, 2009: Riverside, CA 92508 Calvary Murrieta Warriors (Murrieta, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Woodcrest Christian Royals (Riverside, CA), 3-2 in a league challenge.
The Warriors now own a 19-3 record. They take the field next when they host Riverside Christian for a Big Sky challenge on Monday, May 4. Calvary Murrieta will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 6-4 league win over Linfield Christian (Temecula, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 15-6.
With the loss, Woodcrest Christian falls to 13-6 on the campaign. The Royals travel to Big Bear (Big Bear City, CA) to battle the Bears in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 30. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 7-11. Big Bear won 11-1 in their recent league challenge against Desert Mirage (Thermal, CA)
