Utah High School Basketball - Monticello nudges Dolores
February 19, 2010: Monticello, UT 84535 Monticello Buckaroos (Monticello, UT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Dolores Bears (Dolores, CO), 59-52 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Monticello upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Buckaroos travel to Green River (Green River, UT) to encounter the Pirates in a 1A Region 19 bout on Thursday, February 25. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 11-9. Green River lost 79-73 in their recent league bout against Whitehorse (Montezuma Creek, UT)
Next up, the Bears encounter the Ouray Trojans (Ouray, CO) in a 2A/1A San Juan bout, on Saturday, February 20. Dolores will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 13-5 record after their 54-51 league win over Ridgway (Ridgway, CO).
