Nebraska High School Basketball - Lincoln East nips Millard South
January 28, 2012: Omaha, NE 68137 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lincoln East Spartans (Lincoln, NE) and the host Millard South Patriots (Omaha, NE), saw Lincoln East's basketball squad hold off Millard South by a score of 59-54.
With the victory, Lincoln East improves its record to 4-14 on the campaign. The Spartans host Lincoln (Council Bluffs, IA) to battle the Lynx in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Lynx come into the challenge with a record of 1-18. Lincoln lost 64-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA)
Next up, the Patriots battle the Creighton Prep Junior Jays (Omaha, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 3. Millard South will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Junior Jays come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 43-42 non-league loss to Millard North (Omaha, NE).
