The Weaver Bearcats thwarted the visiting Cherokee County Warriors football team by a count of 41-14 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Weaver upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Randolph County (Wedowee, AL) to encounter the Tigers in a 3A Region 6 outing on Friday, October 5. The Tigers go into the outing with a record of 4-1. Randolph County won 41-13 in their recent non-league outing against Woodland (Woodland, AL)

With the loss, Cherokee County moves to 2-3 on the season. The Warriors host Oneonta (Oneonta, AL) to encounter the Redskins in a 4A Region 6 outing on Friday, October 5. The Redskins go into the outing with a record of 4-1. Oneonta won 23-16 in their recent non-league outing against Susan Moore (Blountsville, AL)
