Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Thayer Central Titans (Hebron, NE) and the host Superior Wildcats (Superior, NE), saw Thayer Central's basketball squad hold off Superior by a tally of 40-34.

With the victory, Thayer Central improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Deshler (Deshler, NE) to confront the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 7-2. Deshler won 67-30 in their recent league challenge against Shelton (Shelton, NE)

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Fillmore Central Panthers (Geneva, NE) in a C1 District 4 challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Superior will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record.
