The Cortez Colts topped the host Desert Edge Scorpions basketball team by a final score of 55-39 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Colts face the Aztec Tigers (Aztec, NM) in a non-league game, on Thursday, December 18. Cortez will attempt to move on its 7-5 season record.

With the defeat, Desert Edge moves to 1-7 on the year. The Scorpions travel to Dysart (El Mirage, AZ) to face the Demons in a 4A Skyline game on Tuesday, January 6. The Demons enter the game with a record of 3-6.
