Virginia High School Basketball - Colonial Beach nudges Chesterfield Community
December 12, 2011: Colonial Beach, VA 22443 Colonial Beach Drifters (Colonial Beach, VA) supporters were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Chesterfield Community Eagles (Chester, VA), 82-81 in a non-league challenge.
With the victory, Colonial Beach improves its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Drifters host King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA) to play the Royal Tigers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 15. The Royal Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 1-5.
Next up, the Eagles play the Surry County Cougars (Dendron, VA) in a A Tri-Rivers challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. Chesterfield Community will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 47-43 non-league loss to Smithfield (Smithfield, VA).
