The Water Valley Blue Devils walloped the visiting Palmer Dragons football team by a final score of 48-8 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Water Valley improves its record to 7-1 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to Coahoma Agricultural (Clarksdale, MS) to confront the Tigers in a 3A Region 2 outing on Friday, October 12. The Tigers go into the outing with a record of 4-4. Coahoma Agricultural lost 52-6 in their recent league outing against North Panola (Sardis, MS)

With the loss, Palmer moves to 2-4 on the season. The Dragons host Independence (Independence, MS) to confront the Wildcats in a 3A Region 2 outing on Friday, October 12. The Wildcats go into the outing with a record of 4-4. Independence won 22-12 in their recent league outing against Holly Springs (Holly Springs, MS)
