Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Central Columbia nips Danville
February 7, 2011: Bloomsburg, PA 17815 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Central Columbia Bluejays (Bloomsburg, PA) and the visiting Danville Ironmen (Danville, PA), saw Central Columbia's basketball squad hold off Danville by a score of 43-42.
With the victory, Central Columbia improves its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Bluejays host Lewisburg (Lewisburg, PA) to battle the Green Dragons in a Heartland II challenge on Wednesday, February 9. The Green Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 13-2. Lewisburg won 56-33 in their recent league challenge against Montoursville (Montoursville, PA)
Next up, the Ironmen battle the Mifflinburg Wildcats (Mifflinburg, PA) in a Heartland I challenge, on Wednesday, February 9. Danville will attempt to improve on its 13-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 17-1 record after their 84-54 league win over Milton (Milton, PA).
