Illinois High School Basketball - Islamic Foundation routs Lycee Francais
November 30, 2018: Villa Park, IL 60181 In Friday's non-league outing, the Islamic Foundation Chargers (Villa Park, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Lycee Francais (Chicago, IL), by a count of 49-25.
The Chargers (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against College Prep of America (Lombard, IL). The go into the Metro Prep outing with a 0-0 record.
The now hold a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Beacon Academy for a Lakeshore outing on Monday, December 3. Lycee Francais will clash with a Wolves squad coming off a 62-48 non-league loss to Rochelle Zell Jewish (Deerfield, IL). The Wolves record now stands at 1-1.
Fourth Quarter
Once again, too much rush and not enough teamwork on the offense side of the court.
Too many lost balls and quick shot that gave the opponent way too many fast breaks to keep our hopes up from the very beginning of the game.
Moreover, we gave away 15 (at least) offensive rebounds even though their big man was benched because he was on foul trouble.
Much better work on defense, with 11 forced TO, more cohesion and I could hear and see some of the talking. Let's build on that and start spending more time on the offensive side.
The 4th quarter is what we want to remember, with more passing leading to more open shots.
