North Carolina High School Basketball - West Stokes overwhelmed by Bishop McGuinness
January 26, 2012: Kernersville, NC 27284 The West Stokes Wildcats basketball team (King, NC), was overwhelmed 48-25 in Thursday's league battle with the host Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC)
The Villains now possess a 17-3 record. They play next when they travel to Winston-Salem Prep for a 2A/1A Northwest battle on Tuesday, January 31. Bishop McGuinness will battle a team coming off a 42-37 league win over East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC). The record now stands at 6-12.
The Wildcats (9-7) will now prepare for their battle against Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Golden Eagles come into the 2A/1A Northwest battle with a 10-10 record. In their last battle, Surry Central was overwhelmed by North Surry (Mt. Airy, NC), 66-56, in a league battle.
