September 1, 2006: Winthrop, IA 50682 Postville Pirates (Postville, IA) supporters exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they observed their football squad crush the host East Buchanan Buccaneers (Winthrop, IA), 42-0 in a league challenge.
The Pirates now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Riceville for a A District 5 challenge on Friday, September 8. Postville will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 25-7 league loss to Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, East Buchanan moves to 0-1 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to West Central (Maynard, IA) to clash with the Blue Devils in a A District 5 challenge on Friday, September 8. The Blue Devils go into the challenge with a record of 1-0. West Central won 39-14 in their recent league challenge against Kee (Lansing, IA)
